DNA-Barcoding of True Bugs (Heteroptera) of Vorarlberg

The high ecological diversity makes True Bugs (Insecta: Heteroptera) ideal descriptors and indicators in conservation biology. More than 900 species are recorded for Austria. At present DNA-Barcoding is not yet often used in Heteroptera. Aim of this study is the generation of DNA-barcodes from as many True Bugs of Vorarlberg as possible. In future this data shall be compared to populations from eastern and southern Europe.
